Obituary of Captain Edward A. Lande

Captain Edward Arvid Lande, 80 years, of Clementon, NJ, set sail on his eternal journey on March 24, 2023. Despite his pain, Ed always made those around him feel welcome and loved. He wasn’t afraid to be the voice in the crowd and advocate for everyone. He had a need for speed, whether it was piloting F-4s, racing cars or just watching air or car races, he loved remembering the feeling of moving fast. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge across all subjects, but there were always two questions that he always wanted answers to: “What’s for dinner?” and “Are you bringing me a donut?”. 

He will always remain the beloved husband of his lifelong love, Susan Lande (née Olson). The loving dad and father of Denise Egolf (Wayne) and Adam Liszewski (Lori). Dear brother of Hjordis Lande. Cherished grandfather of Ashli White (Adam), Breana Egolf, Shane Liszewski and Emily Liszewski and great grandfather of Caleb and Devon White. Uncle of Sean Lande and many nieces and nephews in Norway.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the family on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN NJ 08009. Memorial service 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment of ashes to follow in Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill NJ.
