I too worked many years at Virtua in the lab right down the hall from Mike’s home turf. What a great guy! We shared many laughs, had so many common interests, and sometimes had serious talks. Losing Suzanne took a real toll on Mike. No matter how much he laughed or joked, there was always a sadness in his eyes. My guess is she lead him through the light. Rest in peace dear friend!

I worked at Virtua for many years with Mike. He was very proud of his job and always did good work. He played Santa at the Breakfast with Santa and the kids really enjoyed him. Mike was very proud of his family. Sending condolences to his family.. I know he has happily reunited with his wife in Heaven.

Michael and his family lived near us in Berlin, they on Hamilton and we the MacDuffs on Jefferson. When we installed a cylone fence around our backyard, we had to put in a gate so all could go between yards.
Michael and my husband Mac bowled once a week and I could remember they coming home down Hamilton and having to watch out for Ceaser lying in the middle of the road. I'll remember the many picnics the two families shared. Rest in peace Michael. You and Mac can now bowl again.
Michael Jr. and your family-You have my deepest sympathy and sympathy from our family.
Love,

Mike and family as you knowI won’t be around to attend “Duck’s” services.
I’m going to miss his warm and fuzzy personality as it matched my warm and fuzzy personality—that’s why we got along.
Going to miss his sound financial advice that Jack and I continually battled him on.
When he stopped driving, either Jack or I would drive (Ms Daisy) for his “errands” usually either to the mini mart or corner store which was usually topped off with a stop at Dunkin Donuts for 2 chocolate glazed donuts….no other donut mattered.
He was in his happy place at camp in Maine as the camp cook…loved cooking for a large group.
Getting him his moose was an adventure that Darrell, G and I will never forget. Trying to get him see a horse sized animal with antlers on its head, 35 yards away, was trying to say the least. Once him finally saw it, he made a great shot. Getting him into the woods where the moose dropped was “fun” ; as everyone who knew Duck, knew how graceful and agile he was. Once at his trophy he was the happiest man on the planet at that time, as evident by the smile on the photo Mike Moody posted.
No more pain
RIP my friend

I met Mike (I called him Cappy) and His beautiful wife Suzanne 12 years ago! The first trip was fantastic. I have never been to the right coast in my life. So his lifetime friend Jim asked me to come out with him. I had the best time! The relation ship Between Cappy and Suzanne was second to none! I was able to take trips in the car with the and the banter oh my goodness, I could not stop Laughing! I got the chance to see the town Of berlin and my goodness the food back there they make sure you get enough! Mike welcomed me into his house and considered me a friend and treated me so kindly! One of the few of many stories I heard. There was a loud alarm about 4 A.M. that I am sure could be heard all the way to the left coast. I asked Cappy? "what in the hell was that Siren?" He said "Its the siren for the firehouse." I asked "you don't have any worries?" Cappy Said "Coach I put my hand on the wall and if it aint hot I go back to bed!" That was Cappy! I have many golf stories with Jim and Cappy Some cant be repeated because it might hurt some peoples ears! My first Time golfing in the heat! Cappy said "Coach don't drink beer in this heat or you will ask for it" well being the village idiot I did not head his warning and yes I paid for it. I could go on and on. I will miss my friend Cappy! he was one of a kind. And if I get to come out to the right coast I am so glad my first experience was with Himself Suzanne and Jimmy! To the entire family I am so sorry for your loss but he will not be forgotten! Mike was a special man and a special friend!

There are so many from all the years Mike(Duck) came to Maine to hunt. The one that sticks out is when I was drawn for a Maine Moose Hunt and I had Mike as my sub permittee. When the time came to go on the hunt Mike’s friend Rich, myself and my Grandson Garrett were determined that Mike was going to shot a moose. We hunted hard without much luck but we wanted Mike to shot a Big moose and so with my grandson calling and Rich and I looking and listening we finally heard him coming Mike was so excited that he couldn’t see the moose until we calmed him down We all were so glad when Mike shot and the big bull fell. Once in a lifetime experience.

Mike has been coming to Maine on hunting trips for 30 years and I consider him part of my family. His Maine family knows him as Duck. Even though we only saw him a week or so each year he made a
Lasting impression! He had a huge impact on me and my children who are now adults. There are too many memories to list but a few stick out, cochese cake, scratch tickets, Hershey bars, little blue car, trips to the store, “asshole”, not letting Roma into the camp and all the conversations about his grandkids. Mike finally drew a Moose tag and was able to harvest this beauty…. Never seen such a smile. We love and miss you Duck!
