Obituary of Kathleen M. Sweeney

Kathleen M. Sweeney (née Bailey), 75 years, of Rio Grande NJ, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023. Daughter of the late John and Catherine (née Livingston) Bailey. Beloved wife of Edward M. Sweeney. Loving mother of Kathleen Gale, Ann Fiordaliso (Craig) and Michael Sweeney (Stephanie). Dear sister of Sister Betty Bailey, IHM, John E. Bailey (Patricia) and James W. Bailey (Donna). Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Kaitlin, Lexa, Ryan, Mateo, Aiden and Asher. Loved by many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was born and raised in Philadelphia and loved watching the Phillies and the Eagles. GO BIRDS! Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino to play slots, and cruising the Wildwood boardwalk on her scooter. She was a wonderful stay at home mother and enjoyed time with her family and friends. Kathy was most famous for her meatballs, potato salad, and Jewish apple cakes. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday February 13, 2023 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Agnes Church 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood NJ. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30AM. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Camilla Hall, Malvern PA- Office of Mission Advancement at 230 IHM Drive, Malvern PA 19355 would be appreciated.
