Obituary of Joan A. Knoll

Joan A Knoll (née Pologruto), 85 years, of Atco NJ, passed away on January 20, 2023. Daughter of the late Antonio and Jennie (née Camilli) Pologruto. Beloved wife of Donald E. Knoll, Sr.  Loving mother of Gini (the late Tim) Hunt, Donald E. (Louise) Knoll, Jr., Mike (Doreen) Knoll, Jack (Carol) Knoll, Vicki (John) Pomponio and Chris (Kathy) Knoll. Dear sister of Tony (Ruth) Pologruto, Cabrina (Larry) Palme, Anita (John) Cleaver and Larry (Donna) Pologruto.  Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Carleo) Naluan, Daniel (Ashley) Knoll, Teri (John) Willard, Meaghan Knoll, Laura (Kenny) Romano, Danielle (Nick) Goetschius, John Pomponio, Brianna Pomponio and Jacquelyn Knoll and great grandmother of 13.

Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Watsontown, NJ. She worked for many years as a BSIP teacher for the Waterford Township Board of Education. She also volunteered as the treasurer for the Edgewood High School band, was a CCD teacher and librarian at Assumption, Den Mother to Cub Scout pack 95, and a swim instructor for the American Red Cross Swim Club.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Christ the Redeemer Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco NJ 08004. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin NJ.
