
Obituary of George M. Hahn
George Michael Hahn, 78 years, United States Marine, passed away on October 3, 2022. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on April 23, 1944 to the late Waylan and Sophie Hahn. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wives Maryann (née Leek) and Joanne (Schuda). He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Christina), his brother Steven (Dorothy) and many nieces and nephews.
George and Maryann were avid travelers during their 37 years of marriage. They especially enjoyed cruises. A proud veteran, patriot, and public servant he served three terms as a councilman on the Berlin Borough town council. George served in the Marine Corps for over 9 years and was a Vietnam veteran serving two tours.
Throughout his working career he was an accomplished mechanic and carpenter employed by Owens Corning of Berlin, Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees and Evesham Public Works. He enjoyed spending time with family and his special friend Judy. He loved the Phillies and attending every game with Joanne. He especially enjoyed his classic cars winning multiple trophies. Additionally, he was a masterful gardener with multiple awards from the Courier Post.
The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN NJ 08009. Memorial service 8:00PM. There will be an additional visitation Friday morning from 9:00AM to 10:00AM with final prayers at 10:00AM. Interment of ashes with military honors will follow Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
