Obituary of Barbara A. Burke

Barbara Ann Burke (née Mack), 82, formerly of Corolla NC and Voorhees NJ, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022. Barbara recently moved back to New Jersey after retiring to Corolla. Barbara and her husband, Jack, who passed away in September 2021, enjoyed many years with friends and family on the Outer Banks, where they were active in their local community. They also enjoyed countless trips to places around the world, often with groups of friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Marion (née Cuniff) and John; her brother John; her husband John “Jack”, and an infant son John. Barbara is survived by six children: Patricia (Martin) Savina of Mullica Hill NJ, Joan (Joseph) Ealer of Bellmawr NJ, Michael (Nancy MacDonald) Burke of Boston MA, Eileen (Richard) Heddy of Allentown NJ, John (Michelle) Burke of Moyock, NC and Marybeth (the late James) Dring of Wayne NJ. She was blessed with ten grandchildren: Alex (Carly) and Sarah Savina, Ashley (Natalie) and Andrew Ealer, Colin, Evan and Taryn Heddy, Makenzie (Anthony) Catalano, and Liam and Tegan Dring. She also leaves brothers-in-law Hubert (Rose) Burke and James (Nancy) Burke, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at St. Simon Stock Parish Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ 08009. Memorial mass 11:00AM. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions to either the Lower Currituck Food Pantry or the Alzheimer’s Association Foundation would be appreciated.
