Obituary of John F. Dailey, Jr.
John “Jack” Dailey, Jr – CPA, RMA, PSA, 71 years, of Voorhees NJ, passed away on June 23, 2022. Son of the late Mary (née Ehredt) and John Francis Dailey, Sr. Beloved husband of Mary Dailey (née Lovolo). Loving father of Megan Twombly (Austin) and John F. Dailey III (Lauren). Dear brother of Mary Dailey Wertz (Walter) and Thomas Dailey. Cherished grandfather of Claire Twombly and Madeline Dailey.
Jack was a 1973 graduate of Villanova University where he gained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a retired CPA partner at Bowman & Company LLP in Voorhees Township NJ.
A member of the NJCPA since 1978 and recipient of the 2021 NJSCPA Lifetime Leader award. He was the past president of the NJCPA, a past president of the Southwest Jersey Chapter, and a participant in numerous accounting interest groups and committees. He is also an appointed member of the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy and a highly regarded presenter and author. He served on the Board of Directors of National State Board of Accountancy and was a member of AICPA along with receiving the 2019 AICPA Special Recognition Award.
Jack was a lifelong Philadelphia Mummer (57 years) and member of Polish American String Band. In 2012 he was a Philadelphia Mummers String Band Hall of Fame Inductee. He also served as Chairman of the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Judges Committee. In 2018 he was the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association Presidential Achievement Award Recipient.
He was a lover of Villanova basketball, an avid fan and season ticket holder. Jack loved spending summers in Ocean City, NJ with family and taking family vacations to Walt Disney World. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at St. Simon Stock Parish Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ 08009. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30AM. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin NJ.
